Notes from the diary of a hungry vampire…
Sleep is one of my greatest pleasures… I sleep during the day, and I sleep during the night. I’m able to sleep for days, weeks, months, but still I’ve not been able to sleep through a whole year… Even though I’m immortal, I get hungry.
I get hungry for blood, for flesh, for experience, for the bits and pieces of life I gather from mingling, and mixing, and being, and pretending to be, and seducing the life out of the unwilling entrees. But still, so much life is wasted, and so many lives I’ve taken, that there comes a time that even me, the hungriest of vampires, takes the time to let the blood that I’ve craved and devoured, tell me the tales of the lives that provided. And in those moments of satiety, I lay down on my resting place, to live vicariously through the tales, and in a way, reflect and memorialize the lives I’ve taken.
Some of these lives still live in me. Some of these tales have lived longer in me than in their providers.

Back when I was mortal I used to think that my passive-aggressive nature would eventually kill me. Now I know that just blowing it all out of proportion and killing everybody is actually better than holding it all in and suffering in silence while you let out sarcastic remarks. Releasing my aggression is not only an honest way of releasing stress, it has also proven to be an effective way of nourishment for I just eat the people who bother me. It isn’t all good however… Often, after getting their knowledge from their blood, I usually understand their perspective, and I regret having eaten them…

Blood flow only happens when there’s a heart beating in your chest. An erection requires a decent amount of blood flowing… I don’t get how modern depictions and interpretations of vampires are so sexual… How do they manage becoming erect without a regular heartbeat? The blood I drink is to supply necessary sustenance for a sound mind and an aesthetically pleasing (“healthy looking”) appearance… I take the life out of blood to feed my will and my mind. I can’t waste good food to make my old heart beat again to get an erection, have sex, and sweat… I’d have to eat a dozen horny soldiers in a single gulp to achieve that and still have strength to keep my skin from looking like a prune…

I wonder where the girl who thought of sparkly vampires got her ideas from… Was she munching on glitter? After reading her bio I get why her stories are shitty. She wrote the plot “during the day through swim lessons and potty training”.
Even when I’d devour her to release the world of such nonsense, I wouldn’t want her glittery thoughts affecting my already gory nightmares…

I can look like an average Joe when I’m on the street. I could also spice myself up and charm mortals with my looks. Still I find deceiving to be one of my least favorable things. I’d rather have my victim run and scream, than fall helplessly into my arms willing to be sacrificed. Under regular circumstances no one ever really wants to die… and I hate it when my meal feels confused.
Notes from the diary of a hungry vampire…
I tend to remember those things I thought I knew when I existed only in my mortal form. Like believing we are all distinct expressions of the same source energy. Sometimes I wonder how those beliefs came into being. Even when challenging, mortal beliefs of oneness have nothing to do with the fact that I am nothing but darkness, and there’s only death all around me…
Notes from the diary of a hungry vampire…
I used to think that being immortal would bring forth lots of time to be bored, but with immortality came a hunger for life that I never had when I was mortal…

Before I was turned into a vampire I used to joke about used tampons as vampire’s tea bags… Now I know that menstruation is the shedding of the uterine lining, and even when it is a blood rich glandular tissue, it is not suitable as a food source. Blood from the external carotid, subclavian, and branchial arteries from live healthy individuals are the best sources of nourishment.
Notes from the diary of a hungry vampire…
When drawing blood from a subject I’d rather feed from the Carotid Artery than from the Jugular Vein. Blood from arteries is blood that is clean, rich in oxygen and nutrients while blood from veins is depleted from oxygen and carries waste products from the body… They are neighboring blood vessels, but arteries are more muscular and since they carry blood directly from the heart they have a stronger pulse. On the other hand veins are less muscular and since they carry blood from the body their pulse is weaker. Place your lips directly on the side of the neck, right under the earlobe and jaw bone and feel for a stronger pulse, then bite and enjoy!

If your prey is scared, their blood is immediately supplied with peptides from the brain thus increasing the rush and the protein content. Alternatively if your prey is sleeping, their blood could be rich in melatonin, drinking it has a calming effect.

Feeding from someone who’s inebriated can make you drunk.
Notes from the diary of a hungry vampire…
For a tasty cocktail drink, run the brain of your prey through a juicer while they’re still fresh . Drink while still warm and do not refrigerate leftovers. I don’t encourage doing this if your meal had depression.

Feed from the young and pretty to look pretty. Feed from the wise to be wise. Drink from the stupid and the ugly too. It won’t make you dumb or ugly. They’re good because rarely someone misses them.
Notes from the diary of a hungry vampire…
I particularly don’t like feeding from animals. I would only during extreme scarcity, but with overpopulation that would be extremely rare.
Notes from the diary of a hungry vampire…
Most of the time we can smell if our meal has a future or if it’s expendable. Think well before consuming. Promise tastes good, but I like to keep the good ones around to eat after they’re accomplished.
